- South Africa’s jobless rate rose 0.3 percent to 26.5 percent from September 2004 to March 2005 as compared to the previous six months. The rate fell 1.4 percent from the same period a year earlier. Since last year, the agriculture industry added 107, 000 jobs and trade added a similar number.
