Although past performance is never a guarantee of future results, careful statistical analysis of price action provides a solid foundation for knowing what is and isn’t likely to work in a market.

However, it’s also true that if past performance was poor, future performance is also likely to be poor. Just because a strategy offers potential in one currency pair doesn’t mean it should be expected for another currency pair.
