- Germany’s jobless rate for December rose 0.2 percent to 11.1 percent on the previous month and increased 0.3 percent compared to December 2004. _ Preliminary numbers for the third quarter show a 0.4- percent increase in the UK’s GDP compared to the previous quarter, and 1.6-percent growth on the same quarter in 2004.
- UK’s December unemployment rate jumped 0.4 percent to 5 percent compared to the previous month, and growth in average earnings fell.
