• COESfx, Inc. has added new features to its trading platform. The new features — one-click execution; “If Then,” “One Cancels the Other” (OCO), and “Good ‘Til Cancelled” (GTC) orders; and chat room alerts — allow investors to manage their forex and spot commodity trades on the COESfx platform. With the “If Then” feature, users enter an order to open a position as well as assign an order to close the position. Traders are ensured they have a Take Profit and/or Stop Loss or Trailing Stop to close the position. The new one-click execution feature allows users to fill trade orders in milliseconds by clicking the Bid or Offer button, which eliminates the need to fill-in specifications such as size of offer and time of the order. In addition, COESfx’s new OCO feature allows users the ability to take a profit or specified loss when they close a position. When two orders are placed at the same time, and when one is executed or cancelled, the other order is automatically canceled. GTC keeps active orders open until it is either executed or cancelled by the user. COESfx has enabled a chat alert to its chat rooms. For more information about the new features, visit www.coesfx.com.

  • The New York Board of Trade (NYBOT) has introduced a new way to track and trade the value of the euro the FINEX Euro Currency Index (ECX) for futures and options index contracts. The new contracts complement the NYBOT’s U.S. Dollar Index (USDX). FINEX represents a geometric average that tracks the value of the euro against a basket of five major world currencies: U.S. dollar (USD), British pound (GBP), Japanese yen (JPY), Swiss franc (CHF), and Swedish krona (SEK). ECX contracts will trade in the NYBOT currency pits on both the New York and Dublin trading floors alongside the USDX and NYBOT’s 29 currency pairs. The FINEX Euro Index futures and options contracts have a trading size of 1,000 euros times the index. Mirroring the USDX contracts, the trading months are March, June, September, and December, and trading times are 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. to 3 p.m. (all ET). The Index has a physical delivery and the final settlement value will be calculated to three decimal places (also identical to the USDX). To learn more about the new contract, please go to the FINEX Euro Index section on the NYBOT Web site at www.nybot.com.
